Liverpool have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks.

The likes of Benfica pair Ruben Dias and Carlos Vinicius (O Jogo via Sport Witness), as well as Ajax's Quincy Promes, are all said to have been on the Reds' radar, as has midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

According fcinternews.it, the Anfield outfit have recently scouted the Croatia international, who has a €60m (£49.9m) release clause for clubs outside of Italy.

On Sunday, the 27-year-old was in action for Internazionale against Lazio in a game that had big implications on the Serie A title race - the top three were separated by one point going in to the matchday, with Juventus being the other team at the top.

In the end, it was Lazio who took home all three points, but only after the Nerazzurri had taken the lead through Ashley Young in the first half.

Antonio Conte will be very disappointed with the final result, but the performance of Brozovic will have been one of the few positives he could take from the match. Given the captain's armband for the fixture, the former Dinamo Zagreb man was one of his side's best performers.

Going forward, he showed just how good he can be. He managed a pass percentage of 91%, whilst he also made one key pass and completed two of the three dribbles he attempted. Defensively, there were also good signs, with him winning 50% of his duels, whilst also managing to make a clearance off the line.

With 13 minutes left, he was taken off for Christian Eriksen as Conte looked to grab at least a draw from a losing position, but Brozovic had already put in a positive display that would have impressed Liverpool scouts if they were indeed in attendance.

Last weekend, the club's supporters laid into Naby Keita following his display against Norwich - Brozovic has once again shown that he would likely have a positive impact on Jurgen Klopp's midfield.
