Could it get worse for Liverpool? Defender’s actions caught

Liverpool vs. Manchester United games are always full of passion and temper. And today’s clash was no different as the stakes were high – top four football was very much on the agenda.

Steven Gerrard showed that as he came on at half-time and was sent off just 48 seconds later after a horror stamp on Ander Herrera. Wayne Rooney got away with a little kick at Simon Mignolet, the challenges were flying in in midfield and Martin Skrtel may well face retrospective action for his late actions.

The big defender found himself as an emergency striker late on, and when charging through towards goal he looked a little out of place. Perhaps uncomfortable where he was, or frustrated, the Slovakian left a boot in on David de Gea, catching the Spaniard.

Should the FA look back at this, Skrtel could be on hot water!
