Liverpool are weighing up a swoop for £90m-rated Juventus star Paulo Dybala this summer, according to Mediaset Premium.

What's the word?

The Merseyside outfit are yet to bring in a replacement for Philippe Coutinho following the Brazilian's January departure to Barcelona.

Jurgen Klopp's team have coped without the playmaker, though, as Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have more than made up for his absence.

Even so, it seems that Liverpool are keen to bring in a replacement for Coutinho, with Mediaset Premium reporting that Dybala has taken their interest.

The forward joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015 and has gone on to score 51 times in 91 appearances for the Italian giants.

This season, the Argentine has found the back of the net on 25 occasions in 38 outings in all competitions.

Do Liverpool have a chance?

The Merseyside outfit pocketed a significant chunk of money from the Coutinho sale, so the finances should be there to table a hefty offer.

However, if Juventus end up requesting £90m and not a penny lower, then the Reds could be blown out of the water by clubs with a bigger financial clout.

With regards to the player, there is no doubt that he would boost Liverpool's attacking line.

The current trio are already pretty much unstoppable, but add Dybala into the mix, then defences will be even more terrified.

The 24-year-old is used to challenging for trophies at Juve on a regular basis, therefore Liverpool would have to match that ambition.

The club are on course to finish inside the top four of the Premier League this season, plus they are one result away from reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League.
