Epic transfer flop set for shock Liverpool return, Klopp wants him ready for pre-season

According to reports from Gazzetta World, manager Jurgen Klopp has called transfer flop Mario Balotelli back to Liverpool for pre-season training.

Brendan Rodgers signed the enigmatic striker in summer 2014 at a cost of £15million but he managed just 16 Premier League appearances for Liverpool – scoring just one goal.

The Reds loaned the Italy international back to former club AC Milan last summer but his San Siro stint didn’t pan out as expected with just one goal in Serie A and only three across all competitions.

Rossoneri do not intend to make the 25-year-old’s spell permanent, leaving him in limbo ahead of the summer transfer window.

But according to Gazzetta World, Jurgen Klopp has informed Balotelli that he wants him back at Melwood for pre-season training come July 2nd.

However, that does not mean agent Mino Raiola won’t look to find a new club for the 6 foot 2 striker, who is known to have attracted interest from the Far East.
