Ex-Liverpool player Bobby Duncan’s agent Saif Rubie boasts about exit on Instagram

The Bobby Duncan debacle is over.

Former Liverpool youngster Duncan was thrown into a PR storm when his agent, Saif Rubie, be it by his command or not, took to social media to complain about the unacceptable way in which his client was being treated at Anfield.

In his statement, Rubie accused Liverpool of ‘bullying’ the forward and claimed they caused crippling mental health problems that left him housebound for four days.

He also went on to criticise Duncan’s wages at the club, stating that he was willing to accept any fine imposed on him because ‘he’s on such a small salary that no amount of fines will even make a difference’. It makes you feel a little bit sick, doesn’t it?

Reds legend Jamie Carragher was amongst the first to respond to Rubie’s comments.

Duncan has since departed Merseyside to join Serie A side Fiorentina, a move announced by his ever-so “loyal” agent on Instagram…

To be in the top 1% you have to be prepared to do what 99% of the rest won’t do. In my line of work I know nobody even comes near. Not everything in life is black and white and you have to be able to adapt and roll with the punches. Now @bobbyduncan has the opportunity to live and experience something not many young English players have done. That’s what leaders do. We are not followers. Thanks to all the people who have supported me in this difficult period means a lot. The joy of getting the job done makes all the struggle and doubt worthwhile. PS @princeboateng you better look after our little brother. #forza #viola #firenze #serieA #italy #football #fgsl #afcfiorentina #fiorentina

Lest we forget, this is the same man who said mega flop Saido Berahino was the “victim” at West Bromwich Albion before securing a disastrous move to Stoke City. Berahino now plays in Belgium for Zulte Waregem.

Agents, they’ll never change.
