The Portuguese boss emerged as a surprise candidate to replace the under-fire Reds chief earlier this week, despite claims that the Merseysiders are set to stick by the Northern Irishman.
Although he endured a tough time with Chelsea and Spurs, AVB has impressed in Russia with Zenit St Petersburg, which has seen his stock rise once again.
However, despite the rumoured interest, Villas-Boas says that he is not even thinking about heading back to English football:
“I’m very happy at Zenit. Returning to England is not in my plans.” He is quoted by The Metro.
AVB impressed at Porto before joining Chelsea, however his period at Stamford Bridge was blighted by suggestions that he could not handle some of the club’s senior stars.
He then switched to Spurs, yet poor results saw chairman Daniel Levy axe him last season.
