Liverpool got off to a flying start in the Premier League as they cruised to a 4-0 win against West Ham United thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge.

The weekend's biggest win in the top-flight was the dream start for Jurgen Klopp and fans got to see new signings Alisson and Naby Keita in the starting XI for the first time, while Xherdan Shaqiri came on as a late substitute.

One player who didn't feature for Klopp's side was this summer's big money signing Fabinho who remained on the bench for the match.

The midfielder, who signed for a reported £43.7million from Monaco, was kept out the team by the midfield trio of Keita, Georginio Wijnaldum and James Milner, who all looked solid against West Ham.

With Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson to come in, there's competition for places in the Liverpool midfield, and the performances yesterday showed they are ready to fight to stay in the team.

Keita is a definite starter for Klopp, Milner was awarded Man of the Match while Wijnaldum was powerful in shielding the back four, leading many to question how Fabinho will fit into the lineup.
