Fabinho was one of the new arrivals signed by Liverpool during a positive summer transfer window for the club.

The defensive midfielder joined Xherdan Shaqiri and goalkeeper Alisson at Anfield, while Naby Keita completed his switch to Merseyside after agreeing the move from RB Leipzig last year.

Out of the four signings, Fabinho is the only one yet to make his debut for the Reds, mainly due to the fact that manager Jurgen Klopp  has not felt that he is quite up to speed fitness-wise.

On international duty, though, the 24-year-old, who won the Ligue 1 title with Monaco, played 90 minutes of Brazil's 2-0 victory over the USA in a friendly.

It was only Fabinho's fifth appearance for his country, and interestingly he played at right-back, where he began his career playing before switching to a defensive midfielder.

The Brazilian played a hand in the second goal as his one-two with Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino led to the penalty that Neymar converted.

It was a positive display for Liverpool's contingent as Firmino also got on the scoresheet and Alisson kept his goal clear.

On Twitter, some fans turned their attention to Fabinho, with some excited about what the summer signing will bring when he gets given a chance by Klopp.
