England may have already secured their place at Euro 2020, having beaten Montenegro 7-0 at Wembley, but they will still be looking to finish off the qualifying campaign in style against Kosovo.
The Three Lions face the group’s third-placed team on Sunday but it has been confirmed on the FA’s official website that Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson will not be involved.
This news comes with the midfielder suffering from a viral infection and the defender picking up a knock to his knee in training:

And perhaps surprisingly considering both played their part in Liverpool winning the Champions League final last season, there are plenty of football fans who aren’t concerned in the slightest by the pair being missing.
Part of this likely comes from the fact that England are already through, but there are those who don’t think either of them deserve to be playing for the Three Lions regardless.
Gomez was the only one of the two players to partake in the win at Wembley on Thursday, as he was booed when he replaced Mason Mount in the 70th minute.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the announcement can be seen below:
Don’t need Henderson now we’ve got Ox, Winks & Maddison.

No loss,Henderson can easily replace by others and Gomez just the 5th choice CB. Have a safe trip

Neither should be there anyway. Both tinpot players. X

We have much better options. Henderson is a hard working midfielder and gives it his all but he just isn’t good enough for the international stage. Maddison/Foden/Winks all of them are far superior. Gomez isn’t England quality either. We are keeping Trent though! Kids
