We all thought it might be coming with rumours rife earlier this evening, and now it’s official – Jurgen Klopp has dropped Loris Karius.
The German ‘keeper has been hammered in recent weeks thanks to his poor performances against West Ham at the weekend and against Bournemouth the weekend before with the Reds taking just one point from the two games.

Strangely, Klopp had defended the young stopper to the hilt as he was attacked from all quarters so it seems odd that he’s now packed him in and brought Mignolet into the fray.
The Belgian had quickly been ousted by Karius once he returned from an injury earlier this season so he himself has got plenty to prove ahead of a huge clash for the Reds.
There’s been a fair amount said on Twitter about the selection change, naturally, and so as we close in on kick-off take a look at some of the best reactions…
It's about time Mignolet comes back in. Would rather play him than Karius #LFC

However, the decision hasn’t been universally popular…
That team is awful, not gonna be great watching Mignolet and Lovren on the same pitch again

Not happy with Karius being dropped, people forget just how bad mignolet is
