Fekir takes to Twitter, and Liverpool fans are convinced he’s signing

Liverpool are expected to be in the market this summer for some new faces to add strength and depth to their squad.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been scintillating in attack, with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane unstoppable.

The defence has improved, too, with the January arrival of Virgil van Dijk playing a huge part in that.

Judging by the rumours doing the rounds, Liverpool are hunting for a new midfielder, and Lyon star Nabil Fekir fits the profile.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds are interested in the 24-year-old, who is valued at £45m by Transfermarkt, but the publication has shot down reports claiming that a deal is done.

The Frenchman was in fine form this season for Lyon, scoring 23 goals and creating seven assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.

Fekir has been rewarded with a place in the France squad for the World Cup in Russia, and he was quick to post his delight on Twitter.

Liverpool fans flooded his page with messages, the majority of which indicating that the midfielder had already agreed to sign.
