Leeds visit Anfield on Tuesday night as two iconic clubs do battle for a place in the League Cup semi-final.

It's a fixture that's caught the imagination of fans from both clubs alongside the neutrals - who remember this classic fixture from decades gone past.

For Liverpool, it's a chance to continue the real progress shown under Jurgen Klopp and for Leeds, it's a chance to prove they are a potential Premier League side once again, with Garry Monk's boys flying high in the Championship this season.

Klopp has already shown he is keen to make changes to his habitual starting XI for League Cup games this season and the fixture at Anfield presents another opportunity for Liverpool youngsters to showcase their skills and push on to a new level in their burgeoning professional careers.

We take a look at five Reds hotshots who deserve a chance vs Leeds...

Trent Alexander-Arnold

The fearlessness of youth is never more satisfying to watch than in the full-back position; committed tackles, lung bursting runs, the willingness to exhaust an engine for the team.

Trent Alexander-Arnold typified all these things in his debut for Liverpool in the last round against Tottenham Hotspur and has surely done enough to get the chance to do it all again against Leeds.

With 26 youth international caps to his name for England, he's a rising star in the game and could accelerate that rise further with another good performance at Anfield.

Marko Grujic

20-year old Grujic is still adapting to life at Anfield since making the switch from Red Star Belgrade earlier this year. Liverpool beat a whole host of top European clubs to his signature and with a £5m fee attached to his name, many thought he may have featured more this season under Klopp.

Still, Tuesday night's game is a chance for him to shine and hit the form fans were excited to see in the summer's friendlies.

Already a full international for Serbia, Grujic obviously has ability. He needs to take the chances to force his way into first team selection alongside Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum in central midfield.

Ovie Ejaria

Ovie Ejaria broke into the Liverpool first team squad earler this season and made his debut in this competition during the Fourth Round tie against Derby County.

Obviously impressing Klopp in training, he got another chance vs Spurs in the last round and has been in and around the squad since, being named on the bench in recent Premier League games.

Liverpool fans will be eager to see if he can replicate the glimpses of potential he's shown and like Grujic, stake a claim in that Reds midfield.

Ben Woodburn

When he made his debut for Liverpool just this Saturday past, Ben Woodburn became the second youngest debutant in the history of the Premier League and the third youngest debutant throughout Liverpool's history.

When you think of the legendary names that have come through Liverpool's ranks over the years, then it's quite the accolade.

A start is potentially a step too far right now for the young forward, given that Tuesday night's game is still an important one.

But if he really is the next great home grown hope for Liverpool, then why not have him show what he can do? It'd certainly make headlines if he scored...

Divock Origi

Origi is of course more well known and well established in the Liverpool first team than the rest of these youngsters but at 21 years old, he still has plenty to prove.

A home tie against a Championship side could be the arena for him to show everyone what he's truly capable of.

Having already scored twice in this season's competition and having scored a vital late goal against Sunderland last weekend, his confidence will be sky high.

Is it his time to shine?
