This season has signified a new era at Anfield. With King Kenny Dalglish relieved of his duties in the summer, Brendan Rodgers was brought in to conduct a quiet revolution at Liverpool.
His emphasis on youth has seen a number of considerable young talents purchased in the transfer windows, while the likes of Raheem Sterling and Andre Wisdom have been given a chance in the Reds’ first team.
But, every step forward seems to be counteracted with a step backwards, with Liverpool sitting in seventh place in the Premier League and a Champions League spot looking very unlikely.
It has been a year of considerable improvement, and getting the Anfield house in order, but more will be expected of the Merseyside club next season.
