Chelsea starlet Victor Moses has joined Liverpool on a season-long loan in a deadline day move which should secure the Nigerian international more playing time.

The 22 year-old only signed for the Premier League title hopefuls last summer at a cost of £9million, but he failed to convince during his first campaign in West London, and now faces immense competition for a starting place at his parent club following the summer arrivals of Andre Schurrle, Willian and Christian Atsu.

And thus, the Crystal Palace academy product has been farmed out to Anfield as the Reds search for a natural wideman to replace boo-boy Stewart Downing – now with West Ham.
