Gerrard Says He Will Never Leave Liverpool

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard claimed last night that he will never leave Liverpool as he knows how much it means to the fans to play for his boyhood club.

Gerrard has now played almost 600 games for the club after making his debut 14 years ago and has gone on to win FA Cups and Champions League trophies with the Reds, despite missing out on the illusive Premier League winners medal.

The England skipper also claimed that he has had offers to leave the club over the years but continued to state how much it means to him to play for Liverpool.

“Everyone is aware my head has been turned on a number of occasions but I know, as a supporter, what it means to play for this club and I will never leave,” Gerrard told the Daily Mail.
