Jordan Henderson has come a long way under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp and is presenting himself to be a fine successor to the Liverpool captaincy after the great Steven Gerrard, although it’s taken some work.
Question marks where raised by many when Brendan Rodgers appointed the former Sunderland man as his new skipper but the decision made has proven to be a good one, as Henderson has developed into a crucial member of the Liverpool first-team.
His ability on the ball has been a major factor into Liverpool’s charge this season, with the Reds currently trailing leaders Chelsea by six points, and his performances have seen him lead Europe’s top leagues in one aspect.

With 111 long passes in the Premier League this term, Henderson leads closest competitors Toni Kroos, of Real Madrid, and Thiago Alcantara, of Bayern Munich, and he’s set to extend his numbers in the comin weeks as the rest of Europe’s top leagues are into their winter breaks.
