Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Jordan Henderson's performance against Tottenham on Saturday, despite helping the Reds record a 1-0 win - their 20th victory from 21 Premier League games this season.

The England international was making his 17th Premier League start of the campaign in north London on Saturday, and proceeded to deliver an industrial performance as he and his teammates grabbed a narrow win to take back to Merseyside with them.

Impressively, the former Sunderland man completed 94.3% of his 88 passes, with one of them going down as a key pass.

Additionally, Henderson registered five successful tackles - more than any other player on the pitch managed to make - while also completing one dribble and winning one aerial duel.

Furthermore, the 29-year-old played a huge role in the game's only goal, bravely heading the ball into Mohamed Salah under pressure from Dele Alli, before Roberto Firmino fired home almost immediately afterwards.

As a result, these Liverpool fans who criticised Henderson's performance might be being a tad harsh in their review of the midfielder's showing...

This fan with the username 'The Anfield Effect' said that Henderson was "way off it" against Jose Mourinho's men, before adding that he was "possibly the worst" Liverpool player on the pitch - harsh words indeed.

Another Liverpool supporter named Tim said that the No.14 "had his poorest game in a long time" - this fan did, however, mention that it shows how high his standards have been.

Elsewhere, another asked "how terrible was Henderson today" before also adding that the Englishman shifted into backpass mode whenever he was being pressed - in response to that tweet, Daya mentioned that the midfielder was "weak" against Spurs.

Lastly, Ollie said that it was "Henderson's first poor game in a long time" while Brian noted that the Reds captain had a "shocker" in north London on Saturday evening.

It's the dawn of a new decade in the Premier League, but how much do you know about the last 10 years?

These supporters are entitled to their opinions of course, although judging by the statistics, Henderson actually did a good job and was influential to Klopp's side recording yet another win - it must be said that these fans are wrong to criticise the England international.

In other news, these Liverpool fans heaped praise on this player who has got "a bit of everything in his locker"...
