Liverpool were arguably one of the most successful Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window.

Manager Jurgen Klopp recruited Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson, while Naby Keita moved to Anfield after his transfer was agreed last year.

The biggest problem area for the Reds has been the defence, but this season, the club have vastly improved.

The arrival of Virgil van Dijk in January has been key to that as the Dutchman has comfortably been marshalling the back line.

Having a world-class goalkeeper in their ranks has certainly helped matters, and now it seems that the issues have drifted to other areas of the pitch.

In the last few matches, Liverpool have lacked creativity in midfield, which is something that Philippe Coutinho provided before he left for Barcelona at the start of 2018.

With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain injured and Adam Lallana struggling to find form, Naby Keita is the only real creative outlet in the middle of the park.

This may lead Klopp to consider his options for the January transfer window, and perhaps Paris Saint-Germain's Julian Draxler should be on his list.

The 25-year-old, who is valued at £27m by Transfermarkt, has been linked to the Premier League before.

The midfielder has plenty of versatility as he can play wide left as well as more centrally.

Draxler has struggled for regular game time over the last few seasons, so should Liverpool try to lure him to Anfield?
