Last season, Liverpool ended the season without any silverware but their performances certainly caught the eye.

In the second half of the campaign, in particular, Jurgen Klopp's men ripped apart defences on their way to a top-four finish and the final of the Champions League.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane were on top form, but this season so far they have failed to find the fluidity that impressed the football world during the 2017-18 campaign.

Individually they have had periods of quality, but overall, the Reds have lacked the free-flowing movement that they displayed last season.

In terms of the results, everything has been going to plan as they are unbeaten in the Premier League.

In addition, the Reds are still in contention to take home the title as they are second in the standings, two points adrift of leaders Manchester City.

The club will understandably be delighted with the results, but is losing the spark that earned them so many admirers a problem?
