HYS: Will Liverpool lose Salah following Champions League woe?

Mohamed Salah had the best season of his career as a professional footballer, but it ended on a devastating note.

The Liverpool star was the main man heading into Saturday’s Champions League final following his 44-goal haul in all competitions.

The Egypt international, who also registered 14 assists in Jurgen Klopp’s side, took almost every individual award possible for his efforts, but 31 minutes into the Reds’ showdown against Real Madrid in Kiev, he hit rock bottom.

Salah was forced off the field in tears after dislocating his shoulder in a challenge with Sergio Ramos.

The injury now puts the attacker’s ability to play in the World Cup into doubt, and to make matters worse, Liverpool lost 3-1 to Madrid.

There is no doubt that Salah has been the Reds’ best player this season, and as a result he is regularly linked with a move away from Anfield.

The main aim of top footballers is to win trophies, and even though the 25-year-old has only been at Liverpool a season, their biggest chance of winning silverware ended in disappointment.

Losing Salah would be a huge blow for the Reds, and following their failure in the Champions League final, could the former Chelsea reject have his head turned?
