Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has hinted that he is considering his future at Anfield due to Jurgen Klopp's rotation, reports Sky Sports News.

What's the word?

So often it has been said that the Reds will struggle to win the Premier League title without a world-class goalkeeper.

Mignolet and Loris Karius are the main shot-stoppers in Klopp's squad and neither have established themselves to be anywhere near the world-class bracket.

The former has been at Anfield since his 2013 switch from Sunderland, but has constantly had his critics due to some blunder-filled performances.

It appears that Mignolet be getting fed up of the situation himself as he has spoken out against the manager's rotation policy.

This season, Karius has played in all the cup competitions, as well as the Champions League, and he was selected ahead of Mignolet for Sunday's 4-3 victory over Manchester City at Anfield.

According to Sky Sports News, the Belgian has hinted that he may consider leaving Liverpool.

"After the game against Burnley I had a conversation with the coach, among other things about his ongoing rotation. I did not find that a healthy situation for a goalkeeper. My place on the bench against City confirmed his words. I am not satisfied with that but you have to respect a decision of the trainer.

"After everything that has happened this season, I know where I stand and the situation has become clearer. I have been in such situations before and have always come out stronger. I have to think about my future and the World Cup is coming. This situation should not last too long, that is clear. But I cannot say more about it either."

How should Liverpool react?

It is safe to say that the majority of the club's fanbase will not be disheartened if Mignolet does move on.

However, if the 29-year-old does seek pastures new, then Liverpool need to make sure that they have a well-established replacement lined up.

Given that Karius is not yet the finished product, the Merseyside outfit cannot afford to let Mignolet leave if they do not have a decent player ready to come in.

All of the so-called 'top' clubs have goalkeepers that can make game-changing saves on a regular basis.

Manchester City have Ederson, David de Gea has the number one spot at Manchester United, while Thibaut Courtois and Hugo Lloris play for Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak and Alisson of Roma have featured in the rumour mill, but at the moment, all we can say is watch this space.
