Alexandre Lacazette has now scored nine goals in his last four Ligue 1 games for Lyon to continue his incredible scoring run. The French striker takes his tally to 20 league goals this season, only Cristiano Ronaldo has more (26) across Europe’s top 5 leagues.
Lacazette is believed to be open to a move from Ligue 1 and is quoted in the Daily Mirror as saying:
“Between England and Spain, I don’t have a preference. I dreamt about Barca when I was little, but once you grow up you know you cannot be on just one club. I will not be leaving for the sake of it, I have medium and long term aims, after that we will see what is best for me.”
A price tag of £15m has been put on the forward which has not diminished Liverpool’s interest in the player. Brendan Rodgers’ side’s struggle for goals has been well-documented this season with the departure of Luis Suarez and injury to Daniel Sturridge.
