Jurgen Klopp has said that any more Liverpool signings are "not likely" during the remainder of this transfer window.

Whilst Joe Hardy was brought in from Brentford B after he said that, the 21-year-old is unlikely to make any contribution to the Reds' first team, at least not in the near future. In regards to the senior squad, it looks as though the 52-year-old is staying true to his word.

However, that has not stopped the speculation in regards to who could be joining the Anfield outfit from building, with one of the latest names to be linked being Real Madrid's Isco.

The big fat Liverpool quiz of 2019 - how much do you remember about the last year at Anfield?

The Spain international is into his seventh season with one of the biggest clubs in the world, and has a trophy cabinet to envy, including four Champions League medals. However, judging by their reaction on Twitter, it appears that Liverpool supporters are not interested in him making the move to their club.

It seems that his age, and the price involved - El Desmarque claim Florentino Perez will accept nothing less than €70m (£58.9m) - are two big factors for several of them.

At 27, Isco does have plenty of football left in him, so it is perhaps a tad harsh to insinuate that it is already too late for him to make a move. And, given his experience, £58.8m is not an extortionate fee for the Reds to part with.

Some fans, though, don't believe he even has the quality to make it into their starting XI.

These comments are a bit exaggerated, of course, but you do wonder where he would fit into the side considering Klopp's men were 13 points ahead in the Premier League title race ahead of their clash against Wolves on Thursday night.

One fan, meanwhile, would rather keep hold of one player already on Merseyside, rather than bring in a new one.

The former Southampton man's contract ends at the culmination of this campaign, so Isco could be viewed as a potential replacement.

Will Liverpool make a move in the near future? It remains to be seen.
