Italian big-hitters readying shock move for Liverpool outcast

AC Milan are considering a stunning move to re-sign Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli this summer, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Italian only switched from the Rossoneri to the Reds last year in a £16m deal, but his debut campaign at Anfield has been a forgettable one.

‘Balo’ has found the back of the net on just four occasions in the Liverpool shirt, with one of his quartet of strikes being a penalty in the Europa League.

The Merseysiders are rumoured to have already elected to cash in on their 24-year-old gamble, and Milan are shock contenders to land him.

Balotelli divided option during his previous spell with the club, but should Sinisa Mihajilovic be named the new chief at the San Siro, the red and black-clad outfit could chase a move for the Italy international.

The young centre-forward’s career has been turbulent so far, with spells at Inter Milan, Manchester City and AC having all been filled with on and off-field controversy.
