Liverpool play Manchester United on Sunday in what promises to be a fascinating clash.

The Reds have been in fantastic form so far this term - they top the Premier League by 14 points with a game in hand - and they will be confident of getting a positive result against a team that is currently 27 points behind them in the table.

However, given the intensity and historical relevance of this match, the form book is likely to be thrown out of the window - the Red Devils will try all they can to cause an upset.

The big fat Liverpool quiz of 2019 - how much do you remember about the last year at Anfield?

With all of this in mind, Jurgen Klopp has some decisions to make in regards to his team selection. Here, we try to predict his starting XI.

In goal, Alisson will be between the sticks. With six clean sheets in a row under his belt in the league, he will be hoping to keep that run going at Anfield.

The back four should be the same one that was deployed against Tottenham in their last match. That means Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will line-up at right-back and left-back respectively, whilst Joe Gomez will continue to partner Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the defence.

Klopp has revealed that Joel Matip should be in the squad, which does mean that he could pip the former Charlton man to a spot. However, given that recent clean sheet record, it would be wiser to keep him in reserve.

The midfield could potentially see a shift around. Along with Matip, Fabinho is once again available, and that could mean him coming straight back into the team in defensive midfield. Jordan Henderson, therefore, would move slightly further forward to be joined by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Up front, there is no need to change things up. Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are all fit and have been able to enjoy a full week off since they faced Spurs. Their boss will be hoping they can put their opponents to the sword this weekend.

Meanwhile, Liverpool must not allow this cult hero to leave the club in January.
