The Reds are currently 13 points clear at the top of the division and have a game in hand on challengers Leicester City and Manchester City as well. Whilst Jose Mourinho’s Spurs will be looking to cause an upset at the Tottenham Stadium this weekend, they will have their work cut out to do so.
The big fat Liverpool quiz of 2019 – how much do you remember about the last year at Anfield?
The build-up to the big clash has already started, with the referee for the encounter now being announced. It is Martin Atkinson who will be the man in the middle.

Thoughts?

There are many supporters who are far from happy to see him selected.
The worst ref in the PL. Martin Atkinson is incompetent, a cheat and he hates Liverpool.
Expecting chaos. Shame on the PL for appointing him.— Carvalho Diablo (@CarvalhoDiablo) January 7, 2020

Atkinson, of course, was in charge during the only game Liverpool have not won in the league so far this season – the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford. In that match, the Reds could have been awarded a free-kick in the build-up to the Red Devils’ opener, but it was not given.
Others, though, are not too bothered who the referee is, and are more than confident in their players to get the job done once again.
Not fussed who the ref is and don’t get the hype loved the days no one knew refs names nd no one was bothered just looking for exscuse if something goes wrong

Spurs are in freefall. Gonna be a paddling! 4 nil.

Given that Jurgen Klopp’s men have won all of their matches in the top flight other than that clash against United, they have no real reason to be worried.
Either way, it should be a mouthwatering clash in north London!
