Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will keep Loris Karius as his number one goalkeeper this season, according to The Mirror.
The Merseyside outfit have been heavily linked with numerous goalkeepers over the past few weeks and months.
Question marks have been held over Simon Mignolet and Karius for some time, but the latter’s performance in May’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid put him under severe scrutiny.
The German made two mistakes that led to goals in the 3-1 loss in Kiev.
It was later revealed that Karius suffered concussion during the fixture, but that did not distract many from feeling that a new shot-stopper is required.

The Mirror reports that, though, Klopp will stick by his current options as he does not feel that there are any available keepers that fit the profile he is looking for.
The publication states that the manager would rather play Karius than spend money on a shot-stopper who is not a significant improvement.
Common sense would say that it is the correct decision purely because it does seem pointless to spend millions of pounds on a player that is not the ideal choice.
However, it will be very difficult for Klopp to convince the entire fanbase that Karius deserves a second chance.
If the club have done all they can to bring in a new keeper but have ultimately been unsuccessful, then no blame can be placed, but that is information that will never be publicly known.
Klopp is also putting himself in a dangerous position, because the moment that Karius makes a serious blunder between the sticks, fingers will be pointed at the man who kept him there.
Of course, one player cannot be blamed for failure – football is a team game – but fans are fickle and the Liverpool boss could come under fire if Karius continues to make mistakes this season.
