Klopp to axe one of Rodgers’ last Liverpool signings this summer (not Benteke)

Liverpool are looking to offload Adam Bogdan after just one season at Anfield, with the goalkeeper having lost the faith of manager Jurgen Klopp, according to reports from Football Insider.

The Hungary international joined the Reds on a free transfer last summer upon the expiration of his contract with Bolton to act as Simon Mignolet’s back-up following the exit of Brad Jones.

He made two appearances under Brendan Rodgers, both in the League Cup, and has since played three times under Klopp – only once in the Premier League – and is now third choice following the German’s decision to re-call Danny Ward from a loan spell at Aberdeen over the winter.

Bogdan has not featured since his catastrophic error at Exeter City in the FA Cup saw the Merseysiders slip to a 2-2 draw against the League Two Devon side in January, and reports claim that the club are now looking to offload him this summer.

The 28-year-old will be allowed to search for a new team, but it seems unlikely that Liverpool will be able to negotiate much of a fee for the player.
