Former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly being lined up to be the new manager of Liverpool, should current boss Brendan Rodgers be shown the exit.
Klopp, who has been out of management since his departure from Dortmund, has reportedly told those close to him that should he move to Anfield, he will demand that their current transfer policy is scrapped.
The Merseyside club currently have a transfer committee in place, similar to that of Tottenham Hotspur. This involves various figures involved in identifying targets as opposed to the manager nominating his selections.
Klopp famously signed centre back Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski whilst in Germany, and Liverpool fans will be hoping that his transfer prowess would continue at Anfield.
Elsewhere in the world of Liverpool, club legend Steven Gerrard is impressing at new club LA Galaxy.
Gerrard, who left Anfield to join the MLS side this summer, has helped his new club end their goal drought to move top of their division.
