Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan Jurgen Klopp's decision to bring Adam Lallana on for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain against Manchester United.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss made the switch in the 66th minute with his side 1-0 up over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men, and it was a move that didn't go down well with Oxlade-Chamberlain as he was visibly frustrated after arriving on the bench.

In fairness, it was probably quite harsh for Klopp to remove him from the action based on how well he was playing.

The former Arsenal man made five tackles - no player on the pitch managed to record more - while he also had two shots and completed two dribbles.

The England international also had a pass success rate of 85.2% before being substituted, and Lallana didn't really offer much after replacing his fellow Southampton academy graduate.

Incidentally, Lallana had no shots, no key passes or dribbles to his name, while he only touched the ball 15 times in 24 minutes of action.

Let's see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter thought of Klopp's decision...

To begin the reaction to the German's substitution, one fan with the username 'G.O.A.T' said that the decision "has made us sloppy" - given Lallana's aforementioned lack of impact, you can see why.

Elsewhere, another supporter said that they "really didn't like" this substitution, as the "Ox was causing havoc".

Meanwhile, "unbelievable" and "bad" were the adjectives of the day from Martin and Hugh, who also weren't happy with Klopp's move.

Hugh added that the "Ox was doing well and Lallana has been terrible" since the 66th minute switch was made.

Lastly, a fan named Daisy simply asked "what was the reason" upon learning of the second-half substitution.

Call yourself a Liverpool expert? How much did each of these big-money January signings cost?

Also, Ahmet said that they will "never know" why Klopp subbed Oxlade-Chamberlain for Lallana, as he "gave away needless freekicks and cannot last the pace anymore".

It seems as if all six of these Liverpool supporters really weren't in favour of the move.
