Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Yasser Larouci's display against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup on Sunday, as the Reds threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with the League One side.

A goal from Curtis Jones and an own goal from Donald Love - formerly of Manchester United - gave Jurgen Klopp's side a 2-0 lead, although a second-half brace from Jason Cummings meant that the underdogs forced a replay at Anfield.

In Larouci's case, the teenager didn't cover himself in too much glory.

The 19-year-old was making just his second start of the campaign - both of which have come in the FA Cup - although he gave away two fouls and was caught napping in the buildup to Shrewsbury being awarded a penalty.

In fairness to the academy graduate, he could've been helped by the experience of Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip, who failed to guide him through the game and, at times, hung him out to dry - he should not come in for such harsh criticism on just his second appearance of the season at just 19 years of age.

Nevertheless, let's see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter thought of his display...

To kick off the reaction to Larouci's display, these two fans reaffirmed our aforementioned point that the Frenchman's positioning wasn't too good against the League One side.

Ahmet said that he "kept getting caught out at the back" whereas another fan said that the teenager was "all over the place".

Elsewhere, these two fans continued hating on the young full-back.

Dave said that he has "not been impressed at all" by Larouci in both FA Cup games this term, while 'Zaakirah' harshly said that the left-back "can go with Lovren" - suggesting that he can leave the club with the Croatian, which is unfair after just two senior appearances this term.

Lastly, Stuart and Sam said that the Liverpool No.70 was "awful" and "really struggled" respectively, with the latter fan saying that he "got it all wrong" positionally and that it was "certainly not his night".
