Liverpool ace out for six more weeks

Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge is set to miss the next six weeks of action after picking up a fresh thigh injury.

The Reds striker has been out of action since early September after picking up a muscle problem while away on international duty with England.

He was set to return during October, but a calf injury picked up in training has since ruled him out.

A belated return against Crystal Palace this weekend was mooted, yet the latest set-back looks to have ended his 2014 prematurely.

There has been no official timescale put on Sturridge’s lay-off since by the club, but respected journalists have revealed that he’s set to be out for six weeks:
