Serie A sides Parma and Lazio have approached Mario Balotelli’s agent regarding a January loan deal, but the struggling striker is eager to stay at Liverpool and battle for his future, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The 24-year-old forward only joined the Reds over the summer in a £16m deal, but his spell on Merseyside has not been the success, so far, than many had hoped for.
Balotelli arrived to a great fanfare and was dubbed the man to replace Luis Suarez’s goals, however he is yet to find the back of the net in the Premier League – albeit he has netted once in the Champions League and Capital One Cup.
His woes have attracted Parma and Lazio, with the Italian duo keen to take the former AC Milan and Inter Milan man back to his homeland.
However, their approaches to his agent, Mino Raiola, have fallen on deaf ears, with ‘Super Mario’ eager to stay at Liverpool and force his way into Brendan Rodgers first XI – which he’s been out of lately due, in part, to illness.
Another Italian side, Torino, have shown an interest in a similar deal for Fabio Borini, but have been given a similar response.
