The Reds signed the Italy international in summer 2014 but he lasted less than a full year on Merseyside, scoring just one Premier League goal before re-signing for former club AC Milan on a season-long loan.
It didn’t go well for the 25-year-old at the San Siro last season, netting just three times in 23 appearances across all competitions, and his Liverpool career is now dead in the water.
According to Tutto Sport, however, Balotelli could end up returning to the San Siro this summer – this time with another of his former employers, Inter Milan.
It would certainly prove controversial, considering the 6 foot 2 centre-forward has already represented both sides of the Milan divide and Inter are currently managed by Roberto Mancini – the manager he repeatedly fell out with at Manchester City.
But Nerazzuri are seriously strapped for cash and deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield, they’re well aware Balotelli is available on the cheap.
