Liverpool are eyeing Fiorentina midfielder Mario Suarez as they look for January reinforcements, according to the Daily Express.
The 28-year old joined the Serie A club in the summer after leaving Atletico Madrid following a hugely successful period in the Spanish capital.
Winning the La Liga tile, the Europa League and reaching the Champions League final, he was a stalwart of Diego Simeone’s side.
However, he has fallen out of favour with La Viola, making just four appearances, and could be available for a cut-price £6m.
Watford are also understood be monitoring his situation, with the three cap Spanish international having worked under current Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores while at the Vicente Calderon.
The player’s agent, Manuel Garcia Quillion, has revealed that clubs across the continent are keen on landing his client this month.
‘There are two Spanish teams, three English teams and one French after him.’
‘It depends, there is no lack of interest.’
