Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers remains in the dark over whether star man Luis Suarez will still be at the club come the start of next season.
Suarez has fuelled rumours that he may look to leave Anfield this summer by claiming he desperately wants to play Champions League football with the Reds struggling to even qualify for the Europa League.
The Uruguayan international has been in scintillating form for the Merseyside club this season, dragging them up the table with his goals and all around contribution.
Liverpool must brace themselves for heavy interest in their striker from the powerhouses of European football including Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester City.
Rodgers has refused to confirm that Suarez will still be a Liverpool player at the end of the summer transfer window and media speculation has linked the Reds with numerous big name strikers in recent days.
“I haven’t spoken to Luis yet. He was back late on Thursday and we just ran the medical team over him and he trained on Friday,” Rodgers told Sky Sports.
“All I am aware of is we have an outstanding player who has given everything for the club and he is very happy here.
“What he says when he is with Uruguay is of no great relevance to Liverpool.”
