Liverpool boss eager to prize USA international away from former club

According to reports from The Express, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to lure teenage sensation Christian Pulisic away from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The prodigious midfielder is just 17 years of age but has already made eight appearances at first-team level for the Black-Yellows, including one start in the Bundesliga and a substitute outing against Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The Pennsylvania-born hot shot also made his first senior appearance for Team USA during the recent international break, coming on in a World Cup qualifier against Guatemala, after amassing a rather phenomenal 20 goals in 34 appearances for his country at U17 level.

According to The Express, who cite Bleacher Report ‘insider’ Dean Jones, former Dortmund gaffer Jurgen Klopp has taken an interest in Pulisic’s recent rise and will scout him until the end of the season – at which point he’ll consider an official bid for the 5 foot 8 prodigy.
