Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for his players after they booked their place in the Europa League Final with a win over Villarreal.
His side went into the second-leg at Anfield down 1-0 on aggregate, but managed to stage a complete turnaround, winning the match 3-0.
Villarreal midfielder Bruno scored an own goal in the early stages of the match before Reds duo Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana struck in the second half to put the game to bed.
Klopp admitted after the match that he was completely lost for words with the displays from his players as they prepare to face Sevilla in the final.
“It was beyond my expectations. As a non-native speaker I don’t have the right words for this performance,” he is quoted by Sky Sports.
“It was nice to watch, nice to be part of it, the whole performance from the first second, from 6.45pm when we drove through the roads it was nice. The first half hour, what power.”
With the club sitting eight on the Premier League table, they have already lost their chance to finish in the top four as they are only three fixtures remaining.
However, should beat Sevilla in the final, they will automatically be given a spot in the Champions League group stages for the upcoming campaign.
