Liverpool boss ready to bring Rodgers flop back this summer

Jurgen Klopp is eager to take Lazar Markovic back to Liverpool at the end of the season and give him another chance to impress, according to reports from AMK.

The Serbia international is currently on loan at Fenerbahce after being deemed surplus to requirements by Brendan Rodgers over the summer.

Markovic only signed for the Reds from Benfica the previous year, but despite his £20m price-tag he was often shunted around the first-team set-up, featuring as a winger, a central attacking midfielder and a right-sided wing-back.

He has since shone at Fener, to the extent that the Istanbul club are understood to be keen to make his stay permanent, but reports claim that Klopp wants him back on Merseyside for 2016/17.

With no clause in place allowing the Turkish heavyweights to buy him outright for a set fee, the German may well get his wish, especially if he offers the 21-year-old regular game time.
