Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has dismissed talk that goalkeeper Pepe Reina will be sold in the summer.
Reina has been heavily linked with a move back to Spain and specifically Barcelona who are looking to replace long time number one Victor Valdes who is set to leave.
The Spaniard has blown hot and cold over the past two seasons with high profile errors creeping into his game but Rodgers has dismissed any chance of him leaving Anfield.
The former Swansea boss is hoping to spend big himself this summer but has quashed any rumours linking his players to other clubs calling this time of the year ‘silly season’.
Reina has three years left on his Liverpool contract and is set to start another season as the Merseyside clubs number one come August.
“We’re into that silly season now,” Rodgers told talkSPORT.
“He’s (Reina) not for sale. He’s got three years on his contract now.”
