Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has requested that the club bring impressive young winger Ryan Kent back to Anfield in January following his terrific performances in League One with Coventry, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 19-year-old joined the Sky Blues over the summer and has since made 16 appearances, netting one goal.
And with Klopp having been keeping a close eye on the vast array of Liverpool players away from the club on loan – of which there are 14, including Lazar Markovic and Mario Balotelli – Kent’s showings have not gone unnoticed, with the German tactician keen to get him back.
The ex-Dortmund boss is believed to see the teenager as capable of playing for the Reds’ first-team, with only Jordon Ibe available to the 48-year-old as a genuine winger.
Liverpool have a hectic January coming in which they face a potential eight games, with the club still involved in all three cup competitions and a battle for Champions League qualification in the league.
Kent is set to stay with Coventry for their weekend game against Crewe Alexandra, but could be back on Merseyside in time to feature against Exeter in the FA Cup next Friday.
