Liverpool have agreed an £11.28m deal to land Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato this month, according to the Metro.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is entering his first transfer market at the helm on Merseyside, as his side have struggled for forward options.
Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings have been ruled out with injuries, while £32m summer signing Christian Benteke has largely failed to convince he suits the German’s philosophy.
Viewed as something of a wonderkid during his time with Italian giants AC Milan, Pato was widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in world football.
However, a series of injuries derailed his progress at the San Siro and he moved back to his native Brazil, plying his trade for both Corinthians and Sao Paolo.
Now, reports suggest the Reds have agreed a deal with Corinthians to land the 26-year old, who will reject lucrative offers from China in order to move to the Premier League.
