Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas looks set to seal a move to Liverpool with the Reds understood to have had an offer accepted, according to the Daily Mail.
Reports in Spain suggest the 25-year-old, who has scored 60 goals in 130 appearances, will cost Liverpool in the region of £7.5million if personal terms are agreed.
Aspas has been a target for several top European clubs, including Chelsea and Tottenham, but Brendan Rodgers has moved quickly, before the end of the La Liga season, to try and secure a deal.
Rodgers, who has already sealed a deal for free agent Kolo Toure, has been keen to further bolster his attacking options and Aspas will offer something different going forward.
Celta could be relegated this weekend with Aspas’ side currently in the relegation zone, one point adrift of fourth-bottom Deportivo La Coruna, ahead of a home clash with Espanyol on Sunday.
