It has so far been very quiet at Anfield during this transfer window. However, that changed on Thursday as Liverpool confirmed their first signing of the summer.

Thursday's Reds transfer roundup includes that new arrival, a report in regards to a now Atletico Madrid player and a new contract for a star striker.

First summer signing confirmed

Liverpool have confirmed that Sepp van den Berg has joined the club from PEC Zwolle. The deal will be completed in July subject to international clearance. “It’s just an amazing feeling. It is, for me, the biggest club in the world and it’s a dream come true. I am really excited,” said the 17-year-old.

Liverpool had talked about Llorente

According to Julio Llorente, the agent of former Real Madrid player Marcos Llorente, he had been in contact with the Merseyside club before the 24-year-old's move to Atletico. Julio and the Reds had discussed the midfielder, but Liverpool stated that he was not a priority.

Origi contract offer

Journalist Kristof Terreur has stated that Divock Origi now has received an offer of a new contract. Via his personal Twitter page, Terreur stated that there had been positive talks between the club and the Belgian's representatives, and Origi will now decide whether to sign after he returns from holiday.
