Liverpool are close to finalising a deal for 16-year-old Ajax defender Ki-Jana Hoever according to The Liverpool Echo.
The right-back is yet to make an appearance in senior football but he has impressed scouts with his performances for various youth teams.
The highly-rated youngster has been on the books of Ajax since 2014 and before that he was at AZ Alkmaar.
Hoever is a Dutch U16 international and played 13 times in the U17 Eredivisie last season, scoring two goals from defence.

According to Goal, the wonderkid turned down interest from Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea to join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, and will start in their U18 squad but is expected to quickly progress to the U23s.
From all accounts, Hoever is showing every sign that he will be a world-class player and the clubs vying for his signature is proof alone of his ability.
It is unlikely that Liverpool fans will see him for a little while but they can be assured that he will receive the best development and training from Jurgen Klopp and his coaches.
