Liverpool demand £15m for star, deal could be complete within 48 hours

Liverpool are standing firm over their valuation of Joe Allen and have insisted Stoke City agree to two more clauses before completing the deal, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Welshman is believed to be locked in talks with the Potters after they agreed an initial fee of around £13m following his performances at EURO 2016.

Though entering the final year of his deal at Anfield, the Reds are understood to have demanded those in the Potteries pay up.

It is said they are asking for a further £2m from those at the Bet 365 Stadium should the club first stay in the Premier League, as well as manage to better their 10th placed finished last season.

Should they be reached, the former Swansea City ace could command £15m, around what former boss Brendan Rodgers shelled out for him back in 2012.

The deal is reportedly due to be completed within 48 hours, with the 26-year old due to fly to the USA to link up with his new teammates.
