Liverpool face competition for Juventus star Paulo Dybala as Bayern Munich are prepared to spend £88m on the forward, according to Bild.

What's the word?

The Argentina international has been in fine form for the Italian giants this season, so it is easy to understand why numerous clubs would be after his signature.

Liverpool have been touted as suitors for Dybala, who has scored 25 goals for Juventus in the current campaign.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, Bayern have entered the race and believe that an £88m offer would be enough to convince the Serie A side to sell.

The report adds that Dybala could be a replacement for Poland international Robert Lewandowski, who has been out of sorts recently.

How hard should Liverpool battle?

There is no doubt that the attacker would be a talented addition to Jurgen Klopp's already scintillating team.

The 24-year-old, who has created five assists this season, can play anywhere across the front line and has also featured as an attacking midfielder.

Even though Dybala's attributes would suit Liverpool's team, they have more pressing areas to focus on.

Klopp could do with another centre-back partner for Virgil van Dijk, while Loris Karius remains susceptible to mistakes in between the sticks.

The German became number one goalkeeper at the start of 2018, replacing Simon Mignolet, but he is yet to instil complete confidence when on the pitch.
