Kick-off is rapidly approaching for Sunday's Merseyside Derby as Liverpool and Everton go head-to-head at Anfield for three English Premier League points and the local bragging rights.

The Reds have every reason to be confident for today's match. The Toffees haven't beaten them since way back in 2010, a streak that stretches back 14 matches.

At Anfield, Everton's record is even more grim. They haven't won in the Premier League there since 1999, losing nine of the 17 league matches since their last victory at the home of their rivals.

However, that's all on paper and today's match is expected to be competitive with Sam Allardyce's pragmatic set-up more than capable of frustrating Jurgen Klopp's free-flowing attacking football.

Liverpool supporters are, for that reason, expecting a very tough encounter this afternoon and while confident of a victory, aren't expecting a repeat of the 3-1 and 4-0 victories of the last two meetings between the sides at Anfield.
