Liverpool fans were not impressed by their side’s late collapse at the Hawthorns, and fans are particularly annoyed by Joe Gomez’s performance.
Until the arrival of Virgil van Dijk, there was a feeling in the air every time Liverpool conceded a goal away from home.
A feeling of “here we go again” from fans, a feeling of optimism from the opposition, and a feeling of bemusement from Jürgen Klopp.
Those struggles had pretty much evaporated since the arrival of the big Dutchman, but they were once again prevalent in the 2-2 draw at West Brom on Saturday.
Klopp rotated his side with a view to the Champions League clash with Roma on Tuesday, and the Reds paid the price as the makeshift back four just couldn’t hold on.
Joe Gomez was in fine form before Christmas, but a few mistakes and an injury on international duty have clearly hampered his progress.
The young Englishman is naturally a centre back, and he certainly won’t be getting the nod at right back on Tuesday after his horrific showing at the Hawthorns.
Liverpool fans can’t wait to get Trent Alexander-Arnold back in the team, and some of the best Twitter reactions can be found below…

Too relaxed, giving the ball away. Resulted with the equaliser.
