Liverpool fans beg Klopp not to risk Mane against Stoke

Next Wednesday, Liverpool will play in their most important game of the season so far when they take on Roma in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

The Merseyside outfit have a 5-2 lead heading to the Stadio Olimpico, but their advantage could have been much better had they closed out the fixture at Anfield.

The team’s scintillating trio Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino scored to give the Reds a 5-0 lead, but late strikes, one of which came from the penalty spot, gave Roma two away goals.

Despite Liverpool having a three-goal advantage, the Italian outfit will take encouragement from their late goals, as well as the fact that they came from 4-1 down to knock Barcelona out of the tournament in the quarter-final stage.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp will want his strongest team possible for the decider, and there is a doubt over Mane’s fitness.

During a press conference, the German confirmed that the attacker has a slight injury problem, but has a chance of featuring in Saturday’s Premier League match against Stoke City at Anfield.

The fans, though, would prefer if Mane sat out the domestic encounter.
